Gentle, blue-eyed and endlessly affectionate — Ragdoll kittens in Singapore, raised in-home by an AVS-licensed boutique cattery. Vet-checked, vaccinated, microchipped and registered with TICA/ANCATS where applicable. Prices from SGD 5,XXX.
Ragdolls were developed for one quality above all: a relaxed, trusting temperament. The name comes from their tendency to go soft and limp when picked up. They are big, slow-maturing cats with silky semi-long coats, deep blue eyes and a devoted, almost dog-like attachment to their people — a Ragdoll will often follow you from room to room, greet you at the door and settle wherever you are. They are gentle, rarely aggressive and famously tolerant, which is why they are such a popular family cat.
Very much so — the Ragdoll is one of the easiest breeds to start with. They are placid, sociable and forgiving, they take handling well, and they are not prone to the skittishness or territorial behaviour that can catch new owners off guard. They do best in homes where someone is around for part of the day, since they genuinely enjoy company and can be a little needy of attention. For an apartment household in Singapore that wants an affectionate, low-drama companion, a Ragdoll is a wonderful first cat.
Ragdolls are a pointed breed, meaning the face, ears, legs and tail carry deeper colour than the body. The classic colours are seal and blue, with chocolate, lilac, red and cream also seen. These appear in three main patterns: colourpoint (no white), mitted (white "mittens" on the paws and a white chin) and bicolour (an inverted white V on the face and more white on the body). All carry the breed's signature blue eyes. Kittens are born white and develop their colour and pattern over the first weeks and months.
The Ragdoll's semi-long coat is silky rather than woolly, and lacks the dense undercoat that causes heavy matting — so it is far lower-maintenance than its length suggests. A thorough comb once or twice a week keeps it tangle-free and beautiful, with a little extra attention behind the ears and along the "trousers" where mats can form. They shed moderately, more so seasonally. Routine nail trims and dental care complete an easy, predictable grooming routine.
Our Ragdoll kittens start from SGD 5,XXX, depending on colour, pattern, pedigree and registration. As with all our kittens, that price reflects DNA-tested parent lines, full vet care, vaccination, microchipping and deworming, registration where applicable, and careful in-home socialisation. For a wider view of what shapes pedigree pricing here, see our guide on how much a pedigree kitten costs in Singapore.
Confirm the cattery is AVS-licensed, that the parents are DNA-tested (HCM in particular for Ragdolls), and that the kitten is registered and goes home vet-checked, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Ask to see health and pedigree paperwork, and be cautious of sellers offering kittens far below market price or unwilling to let you meet the parents. Our article on licensed cattery vs backyard breeder explains the red flags, and our Ragdoll buyer's guide walks through temperament, price and care in full.
Ragdolls are a generally healthy breed, but responsible breeding means screening for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), the condition most relevant to the breed, alongside a wider DNA panel. Every Meowtelier Ragdoll comes from health-tested parents, is vet-examined before handover, and is backed by 1 year of health insurance including outpatient treatment plus 10% off at our partner vet. Our Ragdoll kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) or ANCATS (Australian National Cats Inc.) where applicable, with documented, traceable lineage. If you want to understand what these registries actually guarantee a buyer, see our explainer on TICA vs ANCATS registration. We breed Ragdolls in small, carefully planned batches, so availability changes by season. There may not always be a Ragdoll kitten ready right now — the best way to find one is to join our waitlist for upcoming litters.
