British Shorthair temperament
The British Shorthair is the quiet companion many Singapore homes are built around. Solid, plush and unhurried, they are affectionate without being clingy — happy to keep you company in the same room without demanding to be carried everywhere. They are not lap cats so much as presence cats: dignified, even-tempered and slow to startle, which makes them easy to live with for families, couples and first-time owners alike.
