The British Longhair is the semi-long-coated cousin of the British Shorthair. It shares everything that makes the Shorthair beloved — the round face, the sweet copper or green eyes, the cobby body and the unbothered temperament — but carries a flowing, plush coat that gives it a softer, more romantic silhouette.

Calm, affectionate and quietly devoted, British Longhairs make wonderfully low-drama companions. They enjoy being near you without demanding constant attention, get along well with children and other pets, and adapt easily to apartment life in Singapore.

Grooming and coat care in Singapore

The semi-long coat is the main difference in care. A gentle comb two or three times a week keeps it healthy, mat-free and beautiful, with a little extra attention during seasonal coat changes. In Singapore's climate, many owners find a cool, air-conditioned room keeps their British Longhair most comfortable.
